About this time of year my mom starts demanding lists from me and all my siblings. Sometimes it's hard thinking of what we want.

Right now I just want a bunch of gift cards so I can build up my own personal wardrobe.

I want giftcards for craft supplies and to pick out a new bedding set, but practically everyone in my family (myself included XD) HATES giving giftcards.

My mom believes they're not personal enough. But considering she lives so far away now, they're probably the easiest choice.

Yeah, all of us tend to see them as lazy/unthoughtful etc, even if we're asking outright for them. XD

I dunno a lot of times I would prefer a gift card. The gift of a shopping spree!

For years I hated giving gift cards because then my friends and family would know exactly how much I spent. Then one of my friends gave me a gift card and I realized how much I appreciated it and now he and I just try to vary which ones we get. Sometimes it's itunes or amazon or restaurant or movies or Home Depot, whatever we're in to at the moment.
