It's ridiculous to assume I'm insulting the OP's taste when there's been no discussion of specific likes/dislikes for me to even disagree with. And to me the OP's point boils down closer to "genre movies are just silly fun so why be critical of their flaws" when I think "popcorn" movies are a lot more fun when their creators don't settle for a lower standard. No one here is lecturing or saying anything about lecturing so for all I know they just don't like criticism for its own sake.
