Funny that you mentioned Portuguese because imo, that language is one of the more guttural of the Romanic languages.

That's interesting. Do you mean European Portuguese or South Brazilian? I'd be hard-pressed to describe European Portuguese as guttural, at least in the regions I'm familiar with. Brazilian Portuguese uses a lot of guttural R, but is still far less guttural than French, which is still much less guttural than your average Celtic or Germanic language.

Celtic languages are not all guttural, to be fair.

Then again, I feel we have a slightly different interpretation when it comes to that, because I do mean European Portuguese.
