Where would you look for a biography of someone who never really did anything?

Those are shelved under 'memoir' I think

Memoirs are written by the person themself, though, right? Like autobiographies? What if it was written by someone else?

Sorry, that was mostly a joke about memoirs

I think the actual answer is that you shelve them by whatever makes them notable. If nothing makes them notable, them it's hard to see how they could fall under biography

I get it, there are a lot of useless memoirs. :) I was trying to find one of those too, but wasn't having any better luck. It was kind of a fake memoir anyway, but I couldn't find it in the fiction section either (I checked both sections because the bookstore people might not have known it had some fake stuff in it).

I couldn't find a section for people who did nothing. It wasn't a case of nothing making them notable, more like being notable while doing nothing.
