I'm an artist who relies on visibility to make a living and find my next jobs, so this is very important to me. Question-- did something change within tumblr recently? I've posted fanart in a certain fandom in the past, tagged correctly, and it would receive hundreds of notes even as recently as a month and a half ago. But I posted something on Saturday, and then tried reblogging it several times at my usual times of day throughout the week, trying to get visibility... and nothing. It's certainly no worse than other things I've posted in the fandom that have gotten far more attention (in fact it's probably my favorite fan art of mine for this fandom so far), so... did something change tumblr's algorithms and I'm now doing it wrong? Or is this just a bizarre case of "you can't predict fandom"?

most likely, the popular user who reblogged your last piece didn't see or reblog your latest piece.
