Speaking with a French accent (or any other accent) to pretend to be from some place is a pet peeve of mine. I simply can't stand it. Either talk that language or ignore it completely and just talk English (or whatever other language the movie is in) like you would normally. I could not care less if the actors accent is Canadian, British, Australian or whatever.

I think I'm just looking for consistency of accents. If she's the only character with an English accent when we know it's France, it's more jarring than if they ALL have English accents (or Canadian, or American, etc).
