How the hell is Aerith supposed to be a sue when she does not steal the limelight? When she lacks the physical strength to match her magical abilities?
Just because you don't like her because Cloud does?
Pfft. Play the original game to get an accurate depiction of who she is--and if you are already so dead set against Cloud/Aerith (though if you care about the story of the game at all, this shouldn't be the case)--then you can work a little harder and try to date Tifa. Or Yuffie. Or Barret. As mentioned earlier in this thread, there are strategy guides out there for just this purpose. Really, go on all the dates, they're hilarious.
Aside from all that, just because you don't like her, this does not make her a sue. =\
