I don't know what you're implying by that, but I just wanted to jump in and say I think the graphics are gorgeous, and have a ton of style and personality that a lot of games (especially newer ones relying on OOH!SHINY) utterly miss.

Oh, I was mainly implying that the Honeybee Inn is a place of terrible, terrible depravity. Wonderful, wonderful depravity.

Though, style and personality don't do me any good when I'm lost because I took the wrong turn at the wrong pile of barely-connected boxes. =( Not that I didn't love the graphics once upon a time, and I appreciate the significance for the time and upon later games and all. But give me a much more realistic Midgar, and I'm a happier player. Shiny's one thing, but gritty, more realistic details are where it's at.

I don't think the graphics are the main dissuading factor for new players getting into FFVII, though. Put it on a modded PSP and you can't even count the polygons. The translation is the real issue in my book. I mean, the thing tries to get you killed on the first boss battle alone.
