(Anonymous) 2016-10-15 10:06 pm (UTC)(link)if you're regularly NOT producing fanfic, you're not going to have the kind of following that's hanging out waiting for you to take prompts. if you're in a big fandom, attention will be split by more active writers, and if you're in a small fandom there's only a few people to start with and a smaller fraction of them will have an idea at the right time and take the initiative to send it. if you want a bunch of prompts to choose from, you're way better off finding a kinkmeme to browse than doing the fandom equivalent of opening a lemonade stand on a rarely-traveled suburban cul-de-sac. Even if your writing/lemonade is great, it won't get much attention.
