People that pretty much quote The Game Theorists like they are the only ones who watched it and they are geniuses for know this shit drive me insane.

Oh God, I HATE Game Theory. I'm sure MatPat is probably a nice if not decent person IRL, but I haaaaaaate his show and how it's made people believe some of the most asinine, bullshit theories imaginable. Like Mario as a sociopath, Link being dead in Majora's Mask, Luigi and Peach being Rosalina's parents, and -the biggest fuckup of all time- Ness being Sans (which got so bad, Toby Fox himself had to step in to tell people it was BS). Not to mention how indignant MatPat got after Scott Cawthon politely told him one of his theories about FNAF was not true, which made him assblasted enough to do an entire video about why Scott was wrong.

And then there's giving the Pope a Steam Key for Undertale. Yep.

The sad part is that Game Theory has some decent enough episodes, like the Bullet Bill and "Sonic isn't fast" ones. But that's not saying much, since there's not many good episodes to begin with.

I tried to give the prequels a second chance. I really did.

Phantom Menace isn't terrible. It's just underwhelming and JarJar is legitimately obnoxious. Jake Lloyd did fine with what he was given, and didn't deserve all the shit that was heaped on him. Midichlorians are still a stupid idea, but so are a lot of things.

Attack of the Clones is bad. It's actually painful to sit through. The pacing is awful -- parts of it drag on forever, and yet anything approaching actual character development is rushed. The dialogue is clunky and kind of ridiculous. For as much shit as Hayden Christensen gets, there are very few actors that could make those monologues sound good. He and Natalie have no chemistry. She seems vaguely put off by him and he seems hyperfocused on her, but less like he's in love and more like he's afraid that if he turns his back on her she'll bite him. The banter between him and Ewan is more organic, but sometimes seems out of place in the context of the plot. Speaking of which -- the plot is a garbled mess.

Revenge of the Sith is okay. Most of its problems are the result of the previous movies. It hinges on the emotional turmoil of Anakin's fall from grace, but it's hampered by the fact that a) we all already know how this turns out and Hayden and Lucas don't give us anything to convince us that it ever could have turned out any differently, and b) Anakin's the most annoying, least likeable character in the trilogy. At this point, I wanted him to just turn already and get it over with. That said, the pacing is a lot better, the action scenes are decent, and Ewan delivers a heartbreaking performance.

And yes, this all just my opinion, but so many people will jump all over you for not liking the Prequels and claim that you're just not giving them a chance. And dammit, I've tried.

It doesn't help that some of his "evidence" are so goddamn reaching he could pat the moon if he wanted to. Let's use the Ness/Sans theory as an example! Papyrus is a Starman because he has their symbol on the costume and in the ending he doesn't know he's seeing the sun. Three problems:

1. Occram's razor! There's simpler explanations for the above that are more logical to boot.

2. It has nothing to do with the theory other than "It references Mother/Earthbound!"

3. MatPat doesn't follow up on it. Okay, say Papyrus is actually a Starman. How does that prove Sans is Ness? Who knows, Mat sure as hell doesn't since it's never referenced again.

MatPat has that issue with "evidence" in nearly all of his videos, save for some of the earlier ones. The episode with Luigi and Peach being Rosalina's parents (and the follow up claiming that Peach is actually dead) and about Team Fortress 2's Pyro being male or female is the very definition of reaching. I get that Toby Fox was part of the Earthbound fandom and it had a huge influence on Undertale, but sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.

The Bullet Bill and Sonic episodes, because he actually uses plausible physics and measurements to try and back up his theories. Hell, even the episode where he talked about Zelda's potions and power bands and the recent two-parter about dating sims were decent at best. But once he did the sociopath Mario episodes, he went completely off the rails into some bizarre spawn of BuzzFeed-meets-Clickhole, especially after his stupidly transparent attempts to skim popularity off of the FNAF craze while that was still the In Thing.

Same anon that answered you just now: I was told now that he hadn't even played Undertale when he made that video. Just... wow.
