Re: Generic Rant Thread

Also adding onto the fandom part of the rant.

There was BIG PLOT TWIST predicted and that the previews were hinting at. And fandom was eating it up with a spoon. All the speculation and fanworks were treating it as a done deal. The big bad guy is totally the hero's father, everyone knows that. They're hinting it SO HARD it's the only possible outcome. People were mocking anyone who so much as suggested it might be a fakeout. I was one of those people (mainly because previews have a habit of playing up big dramatic things as fakeouts and keeping the actual twists under wraps)

Surprise surprise it was a fakeout. There was no I Am Your Father reveal. And now everyone is pretending like the months of insisting he WAS his father and anyone who thinks differently is dumb and not a real fan never happened. What? No. Of course he's not his father. Who would think that? It's so dumb. Lets just shove all this father and son related fanwork under the rug and never speak of it.

And I know it's just how fandom works but damnit, I want my cookies for being right all along.
