I dunno, growing up with four of us sharing a bathroom, I don't remember it being an inconvenience at all?

The going outside and down stairs to access would be more of an inconvenience to me than it being the only bathroom.

I came from a family twice as large, and yes, you learn how to share a bathroom. It's not impossible, although it is always nice to have more than one. But for a vacation home, I'd absolutely be fine with only one bathroom.

Man, see, not my family. Almost every vacation someone has to bring along a stomach bug and spread it to everyone else, or some other sort of digestive upset.

It really only takes one time shitting yourself because someone else is also stuck on the toilet violently shitting to make bathrooms a priority. Day to day stuff? Oh yeah, lots of people can totally share a bathroom. Emergency time? Not so much.

This. It's not like we have those kinds of bathroom emergencies on a weekly basis, but it really only takes ONE emergency to make you realize that yeah, having more than one bathroom is good.
