All right, I am quite appalled at comments. Yes, armed revolts are brutal and yes people that were always subjugated will should not be held to moral standards of those who never had to live in slavery. Same as it is not for me to say how one of different ethnicity as priviledged me can view any historical events.

Hell, am all for throwing bombs on all adult, concious white people, including myself, but killing kids is just nope. I get if it cannot be avoided when you plan widespread events and okay, the reason might have been the infants would not have survided otherwise but still - deliberately killing children is wrong.

I do not care what was the denomination of this bloke - he could have started an uprising for any reason and I would cheer but yeah, please do not include those who cannot comprehend what is going on. I do hope it is a case of slander and a way white people used is as validation for later executions (not that it is nicer in any way).

It was wrong to kill kids but the rising broadly considered was still right. That's my point.

Well, that is an obvious point really and got that. Same as it was essentially fighting whole of corrupt society thus one cannot really skip civillians as they are miulded within a system. People just suck for using others and making such revolts necessary.

It is a little more complicated when you're rebelling against legal slavery, though. In this case, the children aren't just children. They're also the legal owners of the rebels once their parents are dead. There is a reason why the rebels killed entire households when they liberated slaves from a home, but didn't attack the houses of the poor whites who weren't slave owners. That isn't to say that it's okay to kill kids, but the whole situation is a hell of a lot more complicated than some people are making it out to be.

Oh, now I feel stupid I did not think of inheritance factors. That really makes sense why in one case leaders came back after missing the baby at first - they could hold rights to them and sue (which is most likely them and families). Thanks for addition, guess it was just way thing were worded and reality sucks. In ideal world no one would have needed to do that.
