Re: Fanfic Problems

I don't think this is a huge problem (and as others have said, it's not plagiarism) but this writing class is to improve your writing, yes? Write something original next time. Otherwise, you're missing out on a learning experience that you or presumably your parents are paying for, and you won't get as much out of it. A good writing class can help you sharpen your skills, but not if you submit recycled work. Don't be scared, you can do this.

As for being short on ideas, that's... kind of nuts, to be honest. The world is full of stories. If TV/movies/books don't inspire you, look to history, to current events, to nutty 'what if' scenarios. Every writer gets a little writer's block or indecision now and then, but most writers I know have the exact opposite problem: waaaaay too many ideas! If you don't have this, definitely expand your horizons. Read, daydream, get out into the world, get more experiences under your belt.

I guess it was less of "don't know what to write" and more "being so fucking tired of being in school that I used a fanfic instead." If I want to waste time and money at college, then I'll do it without your basically useless advice. I'm so fucking exhausted, and sometimes that means reusing an old piece and trying not to kill myself. "Go outside and get experiences" is the most worthless shitty advice a person give. Just shut the fuck up.
