Same. I loved them so much, but for that reason, I'll probably not revisit them (unless I do a reread to vet them for my kids, and then I won't be reading for "enjoyment", exactly).
I loved a whole bunch of them, though, but they did get repetitive, especially if read one after the other.

Yeaaaaah. I remember them starting to get a little repetitive as soon as I reached my early teens, and stopped reading them around then.

Also the fact that people were literally born good or evil, depending on their species, started to bother me more and more as I matured.

I came to them as an adult. Generally I like children's books, but this aspect made me go "erm?" and I stopped reading.
