Well... I think it's likely he and/or Randall will have some conflict to overcome, otherwise there won't be a plot. But I think they'll end up happy in the end.

yeah totally! i definitely don't mind there being some conflict, it'll most likely be emotional/personal as that seems to be the general theme. i'm just afraid that they'll have dante screw up in between 2 and 3, so he's a bitter, lonely dude with even less direction at the age of forty-something which would be kinda depressing. with randal, i'm kinda scared for that too. apparently it's going to be more randal focused (i can't remember where i read this ahhh). worst case scenario is like... it picks up on that "life is a series of down endings" but it's honestly just... me being dumb and paranoid over a movie series :').

and you're probably right about them being happy in the end :D
