Hubs is going to be out of town and it's on a Monday anyway, so I think I'll just leave the porch lights off this year. We only got like 6 kids last year anyway.

How about you?

Nothing because it is on a stinkin' Monday and we barely get any kids on weekends! Maybe watch some scary movies but that is it.

I'm going to a Halloween party Saturday night but then I'm either going to hide out at my parents house or have all the lights off at my place on Halloween. I didn't buy any candy

I'll have a pumpkin out front and candy just in case, but I'm on a very unpopular trick-or-treat street.

Considering my Halloween is usually wolfing down candy while watching scary movies, spoopy cartoons, and spoopier let's plays, yeah.

...well that and a few kids from down the holler will probably stop by for offerings of chocolate. (But they ain't gettin' my gorramn skittles!)

Teaching, then going to my best friend's house for a lil party.

I work nights, but I actually have Halloween off this year! Unfortunately, I don't think I'm going to have time to try the jackolantern I want to do this year (Captain America's shield after last year's Flash symbol). I'll definitely have a bowl of candy (chocolatey and not). And I wish I could find those baby bananas at the store, because I like to have noncandy options but I haven't seen them in a long time. Not that anyone took the bananas I offered a couple years ago.

The actual day of, probably not much cause monday. This weekend though my long distance so is coming to visit me and we will be going barhopping as is our halloween tradition

Kids don't trick or treat in my area because the houses are too far apart and you'd spend way too much time walking up and down long driveways.

For me Halloween is about getting ready for NaNoWriMo so that's what I'll be doing.

Last minute NaNo prep for me, too.

I'm gonna dress up because I work with little kids, but I can't decide if I should go as Tina from Bob's Burgers or Tsukimi from Princess Jellyfish. After work, I have a dental appointment, so I'll probably spend the rest of the day watching horror movies and reminding myself that I can't have candy 'til November.

I've gone on and off for years and while it's varied dramatically in budget it's always interesting and fun. It's like a spooky art festival after dark wandering through the alleyways of the city. Hundreds of people go, lots of handmade costumes.

I don't think so. I'd like to, but last year we didn't get any trick or treaters. I may put on a costume anyway just in case. I think I have a few spare pieces of candy somewhere.

I was going to go to a Doctor Who party tonight, but I'm feeling ill and not up to going.

I was going to show a couple movies but everyone is bowing out on me and I think I'm simply not going to bother. :( I'll just hand out candy and go to bed early.

This is striking me as hilarious right now for reasons I cannot articulate.

On the other hand, I am making plans to attend an out-of-state horror con, which should be fun.

Our annual party is Saturday but Monday is going to be hectic. I have to work till four then run home and make sure the candy is ready. It's supposed to be unusually warm and dry so I expect shitloads of kids.

Probably not. A few years ago I went out and helped a friend with handing out candy, had a blast, didn't bring my phone. Came home and found out that someone I was really close to had been in an accident and died.

Logically I know me being out having fun had nothing to do with it and even if I did have my phone or was home waiting it wouldn't have changed anything but since then I haven't really been able to get in the spirit of things.
