*James Wesley

He was a most wonderful surprise; I had no idea when I watched episode 1 that he of all people would be my favorite character by the end of the season, and his death completely gutted me. It's why I haven't watched season 2 yet (maybe ever).

I remember being in denial for a few moments when he died like. "Oh come on he's too smart for that. He totally set her up so she'd think she killed him and would then get the fuck out of dodge because she doesn't want to be arrested for being the murderer of Wilson Fisk's right-hand man."

And then, nope. That's not what happened.

(I totally liked him more than Fisk I gotta say. They could've killed the big guy and kept Wesley around and that would've been awesome.)

Same! I thought for sure he was faking! Then I thought for sure he'd be magically resurrected. Then I kinda hoped he'd come back for flashbacks when Fisk returned. Then I just gave up.

Come back, Wesley, we hardly knew ye.

God, I hated this guy. I was so happy when Karen killed him. His smug damn smile.

But yeah you right, he's super into some 50 Shades stuff.

Over the course of S1 Wesley became my favorite character in the show, and pretty much the only character that truly made me want to see more of where the story was going. I felt like he had such potential, and was just really fascinating and well acted. And then...yeah.

Also, I see what you're saying about the 50 Shades thing. I can definitely picture it. And while personally I'm not into noncon at all (and I consider 50 Shades to be noncon), I must say that I don't entirely dislike the idea. ;)

Late, but OP, you are not alone. I couldn't stop wanting him to be on screen, the bastard.
