I wish fandom would discuss Widowmaker being redeemed, but it only seems concerned about fapping to her/shipping her with Tracer.

Redeeming Widowmaker and shipping her with Tracer seem to be synonymous in this fandom, in the same way redeeming Reaper is synonymous with shipping him with Soldier 76. (The only fic I've found that redeems Widowmaker and doesn't redeem Reaper ships Soldier 76 with McCree.)
