Re: Last canon pairing you shipped

I liked all the pairings in the Percy Jackson series, though I read the books in... 2011, so not exactly recent. Didn't bother with the sequel series.

Sequel series is pretty good, though the first book is just OK. The best character in that book is Leo, Piper is just kinda OK, and Jason kind of sucks. But The Son of Neptune is really good! And the following books are good too, but the books felt a bit...overcrowded with characters. Still fun to read.

I thought the sequel series did better with pairings. I liked all of them, but the only one I liked in the original was Silena and her boyfriend (I forgot how to spell his name) and that was such a minor pairing.

For some reason I assumed Percy/Annabeth was canon throughout the series, though now that I think about it they only technically got together at the very end. Still, it was super obvious, and I liked their relationship a lot.

Other pairings I liked... Clarisse/Chris and Sally/Paul? Both very minor. Those books weren't very romance-focused, which I felt to be a good thing. One reason I stayed away from the sequel books was that somebody told me there was a lot more romance compared to PJO. Like, every major character is paired up? I'm not sure I'd be into that.
