The Tesco Extra doesn't ever seem to carry anything that isn't "Sweet n' Salty" or some other varied sweet flavour.

That might be because I'm in the horrible North though.

Ah, yeah a Tesco's Extra is pretty much a corner store so the choice of snacks is going to be shite. I have managed to find salted popcorn in Spar stores before now but you'll mostly be left to the mercy of the store stock.

The bigger supermarkets will def have more choice though.

The weird thing is the one near me is huge! Like, gigantic, with the bakery and deli and everything.

None of the stores around here seem to want to carry salted popcorn in any other flavour except plain.

Huh, I'd have thought there'd be more choice but we also aren't that big on popcorn over here so I guess we just don't have the same spread of flavours.

Yeah, it's more of a North America thing, certainly. We have the caramel/white chocolate/chocolate/maple etc. flavours. We also have white cheddar, dill, salt and pepper, sweet chili, cajun... etc. Like, many of the same flavours you'd find on potato chips, just shove them onto popcorn.

I have never seen that many flavours of popcorn ever, like the most exotic I've had is toffee flavoured, lol.

You'd be blown away lol. There's an entire popcorn section that takes up a quarter of the snack aisle in my hometown grocery store. Aside from the microwave brands (of which there are many), there are loose kernels, bagged varieties, and even little flavour shakers of loose powder you can buy for your home-popped corn! Including, but not limited to: cinnamon sugar, cheese, chipotle, salt and vinegar, extra butter, ranch, and bbq.

Oh, and I haven't even mentioned the frou frou organic upscale popcorn snacks that incorporate nuts and herbs and spices and chocolate and whatnot.
