I wasn't expecting to like it as much as I have. I happened to catch an episode last Sunday and decided it was worth a look. I binge-watched season 1 this week and enjoyed it a lot. The acting is superb, the characters are interesting (even the kids aren't annoying for the most part), and the plotting is great. At least in season one there was some overarching plot stuff but also some great single episode things. There is a lot of interesting stuff about diplomacy, cultural clashes, and the sorts of decisions that get made that choose between something that hurts less people or something that hurts more people without portraying either point of view as right or wrong. I've really enjoyed it.
