14. I...I...what? I can understand not liking characters and even shows sometimes, but when people say Joss Whedon's dialogue is terrible, I can't help but wonder what kind of horrible glasses they're seeing the world through. Okay, maybe real people don't always have witty banter, and it wasn't Moffat-subtle, but good grief, Joss Whedon's dialogue is delicious. Sometimes, for no apparent reason, I'll have whole scenes of exchanges from Firefly running through my head. Heck, his dialouge and Mal's acting made me stop being ashamed of my Southerner accent
18. I want to like Discworld, I really do. I love The Art of Discworld, and I loved the animated Soul Music movie. But something about the prose actually gives me a headache when I sit down and read it for awhile. I feel like a bad geek, because I think Terry Prachett's absolutely brilliant and has fantastic, hilarious, clever, and touching ideas and characters. I just can't read it. Tempered by the brilliant voice of Neil Gaiman, it's perfect. I don't know why I have such a problem with his writing style.
While I think his stories are much better than Rowling's, Rowling's are easier for me to read. And I don't mean "reading level" so much. I like the big, thick, obtuse books. I don't know.
19. I feel the same about artwork. I'm bad about the fic-comments, but I do my best, especially if it really touched me.
33. You left out David Krumholtz. Seriously.
