I remember seeing part of a weird movie once when my aunt was babysitting us once. This guy playing with a knife really freaking fast seriously weirded me out, and left an incredibly vivid memory. I thought he was scary. My aunt changed the channel a little while later.

Years later, I discovered that was the beginning of Aliens, and Bishop is a good guy. But child!me thought he was evil!

I also have strong memories of The Watcher in the Woods, watching it when I was really sick one winter. If I recall correctly, it's not a very good movie, but now that I think about it, it may have influenced my fondness for timey-wimey nonsense. (That and, as I've said here before, Edward Eager's The Time Garden, particularly the part that crosses over with Magic by the Lake.)

Watcher in the Woods! Little-me freaked out so bad when my mom took me to see it, I left the theater. Mom's name is Karen and for some reason, the "Nerak" thing really really upset me.
