Music recs

Help! I'm tired of my current playlists, but all the automated recommendation services are offering just the same old.
All genres welcome, I listen to just about everything (I do have favourites, but that's not important right now).

I've been listening to a lot of Trevor Something lately.

Artists Gina listens to that other people may not know well; showing a preference for folk/rock and intricate lyrics, but not always:

-Al Stewart (there is a reason my usernames are usually Al Stewart titles ♥)
-Adorable
-Andrew Bird (if any young artist active today has the lyrical skill of Al Stewart/Richard Thompson, it's Andrew Bird)
-Anna Ternheim
-THe BAcksliders (a little-known Texan indie band I discovered out of nowhere. They broke up a few years ago, and posted their entire discography on their official fb for free as a parting gift. If you just try one, You're Welcome is my favorite of their albums. Clearly they liked Blondie a lot.)
-Brand New
-Dog Years
-Elbow
-Fairport Convention (the ORIGINAL folk-rock band, constantly changing in lineup and style. LOVE.)
-Garbage
-Great Lake Swimmers / Tony Dekker
-iamamiwhoami (Check out their insanely strange/beautiful videos!)
-Idlewild / Roddy Woomble
-Lykke Li
-Maxïmo Park
-The Stanfields
-Steeleye Span (The other great '70s folk-rock group, fronted by the amazing Maddy Prior. Some of her multi-tracked self-harmonies are astonishing- Florence, Who?)
-The Stone Roses
-Supergrass
-Trashcan Sinatras (obscure Scottish melodic Britpop more people should appreciate!)

Those are things that jump out at me. Of course I have a lot of conventional music, but I assume most people are aware of David Bowie, and the Decemberists, and Lady Gaga.

I second the Steeleye, Fairport, and Al Steward recs. Great music.

Chvrches "Every Open Eye" is a good solid album.

The newest Blink 182 album is a good throwback album if you enjoyed their old stuff.

I really love Carly Rae Jepsen's new album as well. Particularly I really really like and Run Away with Me.

I'm digging all of Kings of Leon too and their first albums are super different from their newest stuff.

"Sorceress" by Opeth. Really, everything from their newest prog rock albums over to their older progressive death metal.

Ashbury Heights for some EDM

Hardcore Superstar for glammy sleaze

Kvelertak. Norwegian rock'n'roll-ish metal.

Salem al Fakir. Cute pop.

Little Jinder.

Ghost (B.C).

SA

I forgot to add The Hellacopters! Try out "By the grace of God". Solid rock'n'roll.

Lake Street Dive, especially their "I Want You Back" cover <333

Hey Ocean!, especially the CD It's Easier To Be Somebody Else

The Sidewalk Cellist (Canadian busker) - wide variety, including Bach concertos, Nirvana covers, and originals works

Jonsi/Sigur Ros - lots of gibberish (one song is called Gobbledigook), very peppy with some lower-energy tunes

Jessie J - damn chameleon. You've heard her, but you don't know it.

Vampire Weekend - happy pop
