Cut af compared to an Asian maybe. You were still a hungry skelly by whitey standards.

I'm a white Canadian, my BMI is 17.9 and has been at or around there for years. I don't diet, I exercise a bit but not as much as would be good for me, and while I'm fairly happy with my body, I'm honestly a little bit "skinny fat" (i.e. I carry a bit of unnecessary jiggle around my middle).

Believe it or don't, but it is a fact that there are people out there who are just naturally very slim and light. Not hungry skeletons, or whatever.

Frankly, I'm 5'8" and when I was 135 - 140 pounds for a while in my early 20s, I felt overweight. And I don't mean my body image suffered. I mean I physically felt less healthy than I do at 115 - 120. I know this is far from being the norm. I have friends who are the same height as me but would be sickly if they weighed what I weigh. But the reverse is also true: I would be distinctly unhealthy if I weighed what they weigh quite healthily.

SA

If I'd been aware ten minutes ago that you two know each other in real life, I probably wouldn't have bothered to leave this defensive, you-are-wrong comment. It seemed like you were being kind of a jerk, herpy, but it was actually just a tone/context issue.

Yeaahhhhhh...

Maybe read the entire thread next time?

Wow. So you actually are kind of a jerk. Good to know. I mean, so that I don't waste my time giving you the benefit of the doubt in the future.

No, you're the one being the jerk here. Seriously.

I'm fully within my rights to be offended that you'd decide to chastise me out of nowhere for being "wrong" while I was clearly having a friendly conversation with someone I'm familiar with. Because... why, exactly? Your opinion of me is that I'm a "bad guy" and it's your moral duty to prove that I am at every opportunity?

You don't get to go "oh you're a jerk herpy" because I'm not 100% happy that you wrote a diatribe accusing me of being unfair or having some kind of bias toward people with an underweight bmi. You were the one being rude. You're still being rude.
