Just asking, but you do realise, by your own words, it's only been a month, right? Not everyone buys books as soon as they're up for sale. I know I don't buy until I am ready to sit down and read because otherwise they stack up so fast, I can't keep up. If you're as good a friend as you say you are, be patient and give these people time to fit your book into their lives, into their schedules, their pocketbooks.

My best friend published a story in an anthology last year -- not self published, but with a small press. She doesn't even know I bought the book. Maybe someday we'll talk about it, but mostly, it's my job to listen to her be excited about publishing in the first place. Because we don't keep score like that.
