Re: Dumb opinions

"Related: I've met a lot of weebs over the years. Some are cool, some are kinda sad, some are stupid, some are neo-Nazis, but the absolute worst have all been women -- which makes an interesting contrast to Western media-oriented geeks (namely comics and video games) who seem to be mostly male. Yaoi fandom optional, though frequent."

Worse in what way, out of curiosity? I hear a lot about how bad weebs/anime fans are, but I haven't met any of the worst ones (or if they were really bad, they didn't show it around me.

How common are neoNazi anime fans? Are most of them women, or are the bad women something even worse?

The worst weebs tend to be really infuriatingly impervious to reason, logic, or even basic concepts such as "agree to disagree" and "homosexuality doesn't work that way" -- and the severity of it can range from "that kind of creepy girl you knew in high school" all the way up to FF7 House. I knew a yaoi fangirl who was definitely somewhere in between. There's a stunning amount of violent tendencies, too.

As far as the Neo-Nazis, I'm just being oblique and referencing the alt-right. There's a lot of alt-right froggies (nearly all male, though I've seen a transwoman do it too) who seem to be equally obsessed with Hitler and anime. 7 times out of 10 when I see someone screaming "cuck" it's usually next to an anime avatar...
