Uggghhh. I told me boss if Donald Trump wins I'll be out on Wednesday with a depression hangover.

Not that Hillary is any better. I mean her one USP was that she was better than Trump, now she is pitching a fit about the FBI investigating her like any other suspect, and really mad they keep finding stuff. It is almost like her past was littered with criminality. Maybe you guys should have gone with Sanders after all.

Ah, not that it matters. The 2016 election campaign will be over, but the deny Hillary another four years campaign for 2020 starts there and then. The attack ads will keep on rolling.

The FBI isn't investigating her. Maybe read more than headlines?

I am alternately anxiously awaiting Election Day and incredibly nervous about it all at the same time.

He's been talking about doing it for weeks, and his advisors (IE Roger Stone) have been trailing the idea since... I think July? A long time, at any rate. So there's a very strong possibility.

Yeah, I know. I'm just...really hoping somebody can, I dunno, muzzle him that night or something and keep him from actually going through with that :p. I just really, desperately want him to shut up and go away for good.

Ugh. I'm so sick of attack ads. Most of them aren't even Trump. There is one big congressional election here (not my district, but another nearby district). And every single ad from these two people is an attack ad.

The worst is being inundated with ads for people you can't even vote for. So much negativity in the air.

Yup. And I voted early because I voted absentee (still registered in Massachusetts). So at this point I just turn the ads off and ignore anything political. I've already voted, so I really don't care.

I feel like I'm the only one not upset by this election.

I mean, I am going to vote (if nothing else, then definitely for the sake of my state), but I've spent this last year and a half just watching this glorious trainwreck from a comfortable distance.

I'm weird like that, though.

You don't think there's any possibility of consequences or bad things happening as a result of the election going one way or the other?

They're probably in a comfortable position of relative privilege that affords them the luxury of not caring one way or another.

For the record, I'm more concerned with what happens stateside than I am with what happens at the national level. I'd like to kick out some assholes who have no problem poisoning our water or driving business out of our state with their embarrassing levels of bigotry. And I would love the possibility of getting back the one women's clinic in the area in the event I need it for damnable reasons.

Man, I wish I had more choices on a state level! My state senate & state house rep candidates are running unchallenged. Guess I could move to another part of the state.

Or an uncomfortable position of nonprivilege that slips through the cracks in Democrats' inconsiderate, sloppy half-measures.

There's always going to be consequences, and somebody is going to feel fucked November 9. But worrying about it 24/7 or having shitfits or going full on nasty with anyone who doesn't believe what you believe has never helped a situation. I'd rather be focused and not caught up in this joke of an election.

I'm not emotionally invested in it, either. But I'd never say that off anon because apparently you're pure evil if you're not.

Nah, that's when the fun will really begin. Because whichever side loses, they're going to pitch the world's most epic temper tantrum.

The thing is, we all will have to look each other in the faces the day after. All of the white supremacist rallies and voter suppression efforts won't magically disappear.

I find it really hard to be hopeful about the whole "election will be over" thing.

Because then one of those idiots will be our PRESIDENT.
