I find stuff like this fascinating. I'd love to hear your theories. Meta on A/B/O and other out-there fiction tropes are always so interesting. I don't know enough science to contribute but I love to think about how society would actually work in such a situation, and I do think a lot about the biology and how it works.

Me too!!!! I really cant get enough a/b/o because of the fascinating biological aspects of it. Most of the time Im too busying nerding out instead of fapping to it, lmao

Yes, I'd love to hear these theories as well.

What I like best about A/B/O is the world-building, but I'm far more interested in the social aspects and get a little impatient when fic authors make a stab at making some kind of biological sense.

It breaks my brain. It doesn't really make sense in combination of out notion of gender.

It's usually the hot sex that breaks my brain *__*

After all these years, I still don't get the appeal. Sure, I'll read about my OTPs in fics where one of them is the alpha and the other their omega, but I don't want to think about the poor betas too much, it's such a miserable existence. You're the plot device equivalent of chopped liver. If I were a beta in a world like that, I'm pretty sure I'd kill myself.
