Jesus. With two huge accidents (one of which I was witness to, the other I just passed,) multiple fire trucks blasting by, and an ambulance screaming down the road while we were at the restaurant, it's obviously been a busy day for first responders. It's honestly been nerve-wracking, especially with the accident that happened right in front of me. So I'm locking my front door, I'm turning out all my lights, I'm hunkering down, and I'm not leaving the house.

Okay--my boss (until December) continues to be an on-fire garbage can of a human who I hate, but I'm officially halfway through the 16 weeks I have to spend with him.

Pretty well. I got a job interview yesterday, which I'm a little nervous about.

Fuck awful. Called in a prescription around a week ago, and now the pharmacy tells me that my neurologist's office says I'm no longer a patient there?! And there seems to be nobody in the neurologist's office, even though I called during normal business hours?! Even if the dr isn't there (he also has a practice in fucking Maui), shouldn't there be a receptionist? It's not quite an emergency, because I have a backup supply of pills, but it's hard to get an appointment with them and if I needed to come in for a checkup before getting renewals, WHY DIDN'T THEY CALL ME AND TELL ME THAT?!

Also the Cubs might fucking win the World Series, and that'll just make things wooorse.

Fuck you and your racist fucking team.

So badly I've lowered my life goals from "survive" to "hopefully be noticed if I don't". I suspect that I might fail that too. Its a hell of a day, even for this hell of a year.

I have an awful head cold, so that sucks. But other than that it has been decent enough. I got quite a bit of writing done for NaNo, and my boss was unusually nice and told me that I could take a couple of weeks off for my exams if I needed to, so that's cool.

Had a good workout at the gym. Had my first Spanish class. On the other hand, still have a migraine and I didn't sleep so well last night. So a bit up and down but okay.

Meh, my rear bicycle wheel went suddenly flat 1 block from home. I suspect a punctured inner tube... and I haven't pried a wheel off a bicycle since I was 16 :-(

Both yesterday and today, I woke up with symptoms so weird I couldn't even figure out how to properly describe them. (Basically, my sense of touch, taste, and smell were having pulses of nonsensical input, sensations so strange I couldn't compare them to anything else I'd experienced.) Yesterday, I assumed I was dehydrated and drank a lot of water, and I felt better after a while. Today, I went to the emergency room, where they couldn't find anything wrong with me and my symptoms gradually went away. Then I went home and slept for the rest of the day. I'm dreading the prospect of waking up like that tomorrow.

I feel ya. I might need a new fridge. Not sure if the landlords will pay for it, or if I have to.
