why is the B!S that you like the books? I love the books! They're easier to defend than Jurassic Park 3...

I don't. Partly because they made Hammond such a different character entirely. Book!Hammond was SUCH a skeevy money grubber who honestly didn't give two shits about anything but his vision and money that that his death just wouldn't have worked for the more kind-hearted idealistic, yet slightly oblivious movie version.

Love all the movies. I actually prefer the third far above the second.

I love all the movies regardless of how dumbass they are, give me all the scientifically inaccurate dinos vs human fun.

I've never read the book though so I don't know if I'd prefer the Hammond death or not.

I'm with you! What a great Ian Malcolm he made. I'm glad they didn't off him in the first movie. I really enjoyed his ex, Sarah, too. He went there to rescue her and she's all, pshaw, honey, go home, and really, she was doing okay until that other team of yahoos showed up.
