I'm an autumn, so while specific "cool" tones look amazing on me, they have to be the right shades. I can't just wear any blue or green or purple. It's actually the same for warm colors, too. Dark wine red looks good, but a true red does not (for the purposes of clothing and makeup, it actually counts as a cool color), and yellow never does me any favors. I have a bit of flexibility with orang but it's best if it's a sort of pumpkin/spice ora, but brown needs to be a chocolate-brown or an olive-brown. Tan and gray-brown will not work. Muted colors look terrible on me, so it's very frustrating to see all these muddy-colored floral patterns in the summer. I'm hoping it's just a trend that goes away.
