Here in Story County an offensively stupid Trumpling is running for auditor on a "Prevent Election Fraud" platform--also a "God at the Center of Every Decision" platform. How's this for a God-centered proposal--she wants ISU students to vote in their home countries instead of Story--because obviously people who only live in Ames for 36 out of 48 months aren't stakeholders, and nobody at all could mistake this for a transparent ploy to remove a big bloc of voters that swings Democrat.

Oh, lord.

The hell is wrong with Iowa. We let people like Steve fucking King be part of our government, Terry Branstad's governor again for reasons I can't explain, and now we've gone for Trump. Fucking hell. At this point I don't know whether I want to move to a blue state or out of the U.S. altogether.

On the other hand, all three of the State Supreme Court justices that were up for retention made it. At least that's one in the eye for Bob VanderPlaats, maybe now he'll sit down and shut up and take his Family Leader Summit with him.

A vicious, pig-ignorant racist, a blowhard and showman who thinks bluster is courage...this is what we've wished on ourselves for the next 4 years?
