Yeah the writing has weakened over the years (though I think it still varies depending on who is at the helm) but there are still a good amount of amusing lines, the story structure isn't as strong overall but there are still some good episodes here and there.

I don't really envy a writing staff working on a show that's been around for almost 30 years though because it's hard to do anything fresh there. I do wish they could nab some writers who are a *little* stronger but like I said, the voice cast is still amazing and I don't take issue with it still being on.
