Looks like the opposite happened. And while I would have been relieved had it been the other way around, I still would not support theelectoral college in principle.

I don't think it would happen that way though. The electoral college was originally supposed to "protect" us from uneducated people voting. Now it's helping those less educated to have a louder voice.
