A significant part of me believes the theory/joke post about the Mayans having been four years off.

I'm half expecting there won't be a world to wake up to on December 22nd this year.

I'm flat-out HOPING there won't be. I'm sick of this one.

Giant Meteor, 2016: There is still time to end it all.

Yes please. Maybe several, just for good measure.

NAYRT--I dunno, I could still be hopeful if a few little meteorites whumped Trump and Pence and the heads of other creepy hate groups in the head hard enough to knock them silly. Or it could be like the Grinch, except instead of the power of love and the magic of Christmas causing their hearts to grow three sizes it could be like those people that get traumatic brain injuries and wake up as totally different people. Kind, empathetic people who wanted to volunteer at soup kitchens and old folks' homes and schools.

I mean, at this point my own life is in so much turmoil that a giant meteor killing off everything on the planet more advanced than lichen and roaches sounds tempting, too. But I don't need more reasons to despair. Life keeps throwing them at me anyway.
