A house being haunted wouldn't necessarily prevent me from buying it. If, however, someone died violently or there was a history of awful abuse or satanic rituals, I'd consult with some priests or spirit mediums or something before anything else. In the case of a serial killer's home, even if it wasn't haunted with the spirits of victims, I'm sure there'd be so many bad vibes there anyway that there's a good chance I'd steer clear.
