I agree that talking about in terms of responsibility to step away from the community is wrong.

But I also think it's true that you do have to pick your spots in terms of how you engage, and figure out where the trade-offs are, and figure out which communities you engage in, and in general, decide where you draw your own line personally with regards to interacting with flawed communities.
