38. I don't know if it would be more awesome, but it would definitely be as awesome, only in different ways.

42. Ever heard of fandubbing? Yeah, that's basically what it entails. It isn't lame-- it's awesome, especially if you can make the translations work really well. One of my favorites recently had her youtube account suspended, but she literally wrote poetry based on the translations. It was awesome.

Yeah, I've heard of fandubbing, but I've never seen an actual serious fandub (gag fandubs, sure, but that's not really the same) and generally had the impression that fandom isn't very fond of them. Maybe I was wrong, though.

(Do you have any recommendations for serious fandubs? I'd be interested to see some .

Christina Vee is incredibly good (She's MilkyCabbage on youtube). The fandubber I was referring to was thedarknessvoid, who was pretty awe-inspiring (in my opinion, anyway), but she's been suspended (much to my dismay).

Sure, there are circles within fandom that think fandubs are evil and should GTFO. But there's a good section of fandom that like and support fandubbbers. Heck, I'd say that fandubbing has its own fandom, in a way.

And that's also good to know. I have obviously just been hanging out in the wrong corners of fandom.

Lacus wound up being the villain. Meer used Lacus's own lofty values against her and hand-bred her to take control of LOGOS, basically (and yes, I rewrote Meer's character completely into something vastly more sinister and unhinged).

Other major changes include Orb getting nuked for good this time, Gilbert being on the up and up and getting publicly assassinated for his troubles, half the cast getting Tomino'd steadily throughout the story, and Shinn actually having a spine and a brain and going all "revolt! resist! fight the power!" on everyone. Oh, and the Astray and SEED storylines actually converge instead of being so damned conspicuously separate, with Rondo Mina assuming command of the Three Ships faction in Lacus and Cagalli's absences and taking them in a decidedly less "love and peace for everyone!" direction.

It's all fairly grim, but then given that so much of SEED's story was rooted in ethnic strife and politically-endorsed genocide, I honestly can't imagine it any other way.
