Exactly. But even for kids, I'd probably prefer to let them watch the cartoons, why do they need to even make the live action ones? idk.

Eh, in the case of kids I'd let them see whichever one they wanted, I'm not about to dictate what type of media they should be watching unless it's far too old for them(like a 5 year old wanting to watch a 15).

And at least from my experience with my nieces they're usually more than happy to see the original film too, but they also like the live-action ones for how shiny and pretty they are.

Well, depends I guess on how your kids are accessing media. We always had physical copies of things, and even today there's no Netflix. As kids, a lot of what we watched was what we had accessible, or movies my parents said "oh, this is good, try this!".

Oh yeah not every kid will have Netflix or movie streaming channels and the like and if I had the physical copy of the original I'd certainly suggest the idea of the older one to see if the kid was interested but if not? Oh well, lord knows I put my parents through some shitty-ass movies for my sake, I can do that for my nieces as well.
