Not really.

The only people I see using trigger that way are people who mock anyone who is upset/offended/expressing disagreement with anything, by calling them triggered. I don't see it used in fandom much.

It's making a slight come back, but not the way it needs to. And yes, trigger DOES get used more often than not for things that should be listed as only squicks.

It's very very frustrating to see.
