I can't stand Mexican food, it is all greasy re-fried sick cooked up by lazy people.

Have you been to an authentic Mexican place, or "Mexican" places that like to sneak cheese into everything?

do you hate mexican food or texmex? I think both are delicious (although one is waaaaay unhealthier) but they're definitely different. just like actual chinese food is different than the food served at the vast majority of american chinese restaurants. my college had a ton of international students who were studying abroad from china, and all the ones I knew were constantly outraged about the state of american chinese food.

I think that may depend on how you do it. When Mum and I do tacos, it is one of the healthier meals we can have. We make up the filling ourselves out of red kidney beans and nutmeat, and eat that with plenty of salad piled into the shells? Good stuff.

Shame on you, anon! It's one of the best things to come out of Mexico!

What you're describing is not Mexican food, but Americanized shit. Like Taco Bell, that's not Mexican.

I don't really limit myself to disliking a cuisine but I am super fond of Italian and Mexican.

I really want to try legitimate poke though.

I love Mexican and Italian. I am also pretty fond of the Peruvian food I ate in DC.

My hate of vinegar made me that weird South Carolina kid who hated barbecue (Carolina bbq usually uses a vinegar based sauce).

They... do? (Am Chinese.) I mean, sure there's vinegar in some dishes, but I don't know that I'd say it's all that common and it should be easy to avoid.

I like pretty much everything except Thai food (mostly because of the prevalence of fish sauce).

I like fish sauce way more than I should tbh.

I love Chinese food the most. Italian I have a difficult relationship--the food is all delicious, in theory, but in practice it often makes me feel shitty.

I love Indian food (especially paneer mutter, yum).

I've been to Ethiopian restraunts before and wasn't really a fan

Italian, Mexican, and French are the big 3 cuisines for me, as well as what I'd guess you'd call California American. Vietnamese and Filipino eight after that. I like food.

There aren't any cuisines that I really dislike. Although Im not usually a fan of going for Thai, but that's just because I feel like it's just kind of a boring option in the US.

I love Italian food the most and then probably American food.

I have to be incredibly careful eating Mexican and Indian food because my stomach can't handle the spices well.

Love: Chinese, Thai, Philippine (unlike the commenter below, I love vinegar in food a lot), Vietnamese, Italian, Mexican, Croatian/Eastern European (they make this octopus salad that is completely amazing), Middle Eastern, Japanese.

Hate: Indian. Not becase of the taste, but because something about the spices in Indian food really does not agree with me. Every time I've tried to eat something Indian besides Naan bread, I've gotten sick. I'm meh on French. Too much cream and butter for me.

There used to be a Serbian bakery cafe in my home town that served fantastic sarma, only they hardly ever had it. The bread was fabulous, and the stuffed pepper in tomato soup was the best budget lunch in town, but the Serbian rolls (like extremely spicy calzones) were too spicy to eat. We used to speculate that every time Constantine listened to news of the former Yugoslavia on NPR, he chucked more hot pepper into the filling as he got angrier and angrier. He hated Sylvia Poggioli but couldn't stop listening.

I love, love, love Thai, Indian, Japanese, authentic Chinese, authentic Mexican, and Italian.

On the other hand I'm not fond of what people call "generic American cuisine". Most of it's too greasy and just literally does make me sick. What doesn't is mostly too salty and bland.

I love Chinese takeaway (I specify, because a lot of takeaway is not accurate Chinese), most Japanese I have encountered is good, same with the few hints of Korean I've come across, Italian is always good, I'd probably love German, what little Swedish I have experienced (courtesy of Ikea) is good. I also love some of the great English classics.

I am madly in love with Vietnamese ricepaper rolls.

I have to say the cuisines that go into the spicier end depend on how spicy it is. I don't do really strong spice, so mild Mexican, mild Indian.

I am not a big fan of Moroccan.

I love soul food, Indian, Mexican, and Cajun/Louisiana cuisine. I also like Japanese and modern Hawaiian (a blend of cuisines from east and west).
