How annoying would all these be? Hair growth I see him able to mostly ignore, since he was used to it from before. How often do the vocal changes manifest? Aside from his voice cracking a bunch, would it affect him? (considering that already nobody takes him seriously because he's physically 12, so it probably can't get much worse haha)
How painful are the growing pains?

Hair doesn't grow in uniformly, think awkward patches and pube face

Voice will crack a bunch, come out in tones you don't intend. Dunno how to describe it

Growing pains feel like you stretched too hard, kinda. You're clumsy for a while cause your height and limb length keeps changing. You outgrow shoes and shirts fast. Idk what else, it's been a while

My brother had awful growing pains (he's 6'5"). He played all kinds of sports, but growing pains, especially in his legs, laid him out. I also knew a guy that had such a growth spurt, he had problems with his lungs - https://ghr.nlm.nih.gov/condition/primary-spontaneous-pneumothorax.

How long did that stage last? Was it constant pain, ongoing ache, did it come in waves?

It feels like it went on for a couple of months and some days he would be okay and some days it would be really bad and some days he would be just generally achy.
