MCU. DC movies take themselves very seriously and aren't very fun. (one man's opinion)
ginainthekingsroad: 3 separate yet equally important groups- the police, the DA, and the goddamn Batman (Law & Order Gotham)

DC for comics, Marvel for filmed media.

DC for everything tbh but I'm not big into comics at all. I just like their heroes better.

Marvel for movies.

DC for animated series.

Neither for comics anymore.

DC has some of my favorite superheroes, but for the most part I've preferred the Marvel adaptions. There are very few DC adaptions that I've actually liked. The only exceptions really are the first two Superman movies (which were just okay), Lois and Clark, and Supergirl.

Movies: Marvel.

Comics: Both.

Difficult one.

Marvel's movies, obviously, but for tv Marvel is not very good at all. Agents of Lethal Boredom loses to Gotham or Supergirl every time.

Comicwise, a year or so ago I'd have said Marvel by a million miles, but since then Marvel have done CW2: Female Character Assassination and DC has done: DC Rebirth "We're trying to erase our mistakes" and rectified several of the problems of the Nu52. DC still has a pervert possible rapist on board though as opposed to Marvels just pervert artist. I guess I gotta go....IDW.

I've always preferred Marvel, but lately I've been itching to get into some good Dick Grayson comics.

I don't even really read comics, I just have had the urge to read up on some of the solo Dick Grayson stuff, his time as Nightwing, the Grayson comics, apparently he took over the Batman mantle at one point? I'm accepting recs if anyone's got 'em for specific comics to check out.

Both. DC writes heroes which can really shine in the hands of a capable writer, while Marvel writes anti-heroes most of the time, which I think makes for interesting characters but again, capable writers that bring forth the characters personalities are a must.

Movies and live-action TV: Marvel.

Video games and animated shows: DC.

Comics: Both!

DC. I enjoy the MCU, but nothing will ever beat the goodness of the DC animated series and pre-Flashpoint comics for me.

All of my favorite comics characters are DC characters. I've never really warmed up to or been particularly smitten with any Marvel characters, even though I find the MCU entertaining, and I DO find the MCU very entertaining. On the whole, I've definitely enjoyed the MCU movies I've seen more than the DC movies.

That being said, one thing I do appreciate in DC film and TV is the willingness to re-invent things and try a new twist, at least with Batman. Batman can be silly or serious and we've seen a big range over the decades. There's not just one accepted version that everyone insists on sticking to.

A sentimental love for Marvel that stems from my comic-buying time.
