as I was saying in another subthread - they stay in their own lane now>. This was not always the case, and a lot of people's reactions to the furry community are really strongly shaped by those early experiences.

Obviously there's no way of telling, but the median age of this comm - according to past polls - is around 30. It's extremely plausible to me that people on here have been around the Internet for 15 or 20 years. Personally, I know that furries were both rampant and annoying when I was coming on the Internet in 2002, 2003, 2004, although I recognize that's not necessarily representative of what it's like today.

I didn't say it was justified in TYOOL 2016 - in fact, I said that I thought it wasn't a representative judgment.

My point was that it's founded on real experiences, not just people being mean to an easy target.
