You just search for whatever it is you're interested in, be it fandom things or otherwise, and there should be a subreddit for it that you can subscribe to.

I've never really been on the mobile site, so don't really know how well that works as I use Baconreader when on my phone, which I think works quite well for a Reddit app. There's also Reddit is Fun and at least one other app around, though I can't vouch for either of those as I've only really used Baconreader.
