Sorry, I don't agree. Having a dysfunctional family life doesn't give you a free pass to treat your friends badly. Lashing out at your friends because you have problems at home doesn't make you an awesome friend. Even if people put up with this behavior (which happens all the time, unfortunately), that still doesn't make it okay or good.
