(Anonymous) 2016-11-22 02:23 am (UTC)(link)My fics are in a "old but still pretty popular" fandom, and I specialize in shipping one of the fandom favorite couples, and I get roughly 1 kudo for every 40 hits on AO3. It may not be much, but hopefully it helps to at least have a frame of reference.

Re: Distance to first kudo
(Anonymous) 2016-11-22 09:15 am (UTC)(link)I'm guilty of this sometimes and I need to stop doing it. The thought process behind it is basically that I don't want to kudos everything I like because then it's as though I'm giving the same enthusiasm to a fic I loved passionately as I'm giving to a fic I just liked okay. But over time I've realized how crappy that is for all the people who write good solid fics that maybe weren't an utter revelation to read, but that I enjoyed plenty and that still deserve praise.

(Anonymous) 2016-11-22 10:28 pm (UTC)(link)I tend to read fic in binges. Right now I started watching OUaT, I'm on season three so I'm totally binging EmmaHook fic.
I'll read like, a dozen fics a day and I really do just 'click' open, read, 'x out'. I totally forget that if I liked it I have that kudos-ing option.
