I want to apologize for the second comment of mine. I have had a lot of shitty job/money/health/family things going on and I snapped. And I shouldn't have. It is not my business what anyone chooses to do with their life, and it doesn't matter whether or not I agree or disagree with what someone chooses to do. The above comment was way out of line. And I'm sorry. I hope all mental health and family issues work out for the best. As in an ideal world everyone should be free of those issues.

I shouldn't have said it in the first place. And wish I could take it back. It has just been a shitty day/week/year with no end in sight and I snapped. Hopefully the apology makes up for it even in the slightest. As I am truly sorry I said what I did.

And I apologize for coming down so hard on you. I've run into a fair amount of trolls on this site and elsewhere, and I was very convinced you were one. I've been in a situation with parents who could be very dismissive of my emotions and sorta messed with my mind and I was in a situation where I was stuck with them and many people would ask or tell me "just move out" and it became a huge sore spot. I shouldn't have projected my own issues. I'm sorry. I hope things get better for you, anon.

I have also been in a not great parental situation and I'm still paying for it, and I think that was part of what fuelled me snapping. It is not at all adequate justification for the comment I made. I really should know better than to comment about things when I'm stressed and emotional. I didn't tonight, but I'll try to do better in the future. Thanks for the comment and the wishes. Given everything, it is going to be a long while before things can even possibly get better (I'm guessing, based on where I assume the country is going to go after the election), but maybe. I hope you have a good future too.

I'm just a passer by here but you two give me hope for people being able to get past arguments. I don't see that a lot. Best wishes to everyone in this thread.
